It all started with a one-way ticket to California and $50 to my name. Like so many, I came to this state with a dream: a dream of opportunity, of building a life, and of contributing to a place that promised so much. And I did it. I built my California dream from the ground up, fueled by hard work and an unshakeable belief in what's possible here.
But that dream, the very one that drew countless individuals like me, is slipping away for too many. Our state is now a place where the cost of living crushes families, where a home feels like an impossible fantasy, and where the everyday struggle to make ends meet overshadows the promise of tomorrow. Just look at our utility bills, especially the spiraling cost of electricity. These aren't just numbers on a page; they represent impossible choices for families deciding between keeping the lights on and putting food on the table.
I'm Thunder Parley, and I'm running for Governor because I refuse to stand by while the California Dream becomes a relic of the past. My journey has prepared me to tackle the affordability crisis head-on. I've spent my life selflessly helping others and fixing problems, and I'm ready to bring that same dedication to Sacramento to forge real solutions. While I might have the option to leave, my fight is not just for me. It's for the families who don't have the same resources or choices, for the neighbors struggling to keep pace, and for every Californian who deserves a fair shot at a brighter future. It's time to build a California where everyone, regardless of their starting point, has the chance to thrive and build their own dream, just like I did.
